For Sale
It
is with much regret that I have decided to put my Cozy for sale.
I am reaching my 74th year this summer and I feel it is wise to move
on before I have any issues. The Cozy has performed well, with
minimal issues, and has proved to be reliable and very low cost in
maintenance. I would recommend any interested parties to
review this website for details about it's build. I would also
recommend viewing my in-flight video's to appreciate some of the
differences in my build, such as retractable landing gear, Subaru
230hp engine, and many innovative features. The gross weight
for this aircraft has recently been increased from 2050lbs to
2250lbs to offset the increased weight of the Subaru power plant, and RG.
This aircraft uses the "Long" canard, i.e. the
Nat Puffer Mandated 6" shortening was intentionally not done and the
weight and balance envelope is 1" forward of that shown in the
Standard POH. This was done to accommodate large, heavier
pilots. As such the combined front seat weight for pilot &
Co-Pilot is 517lbs whilst the minimum is 351lbs without ballast.
The canopy and turtleback has been raised by two inches to
accommodate tall and large pilots. I am presently 6' 3" and
240lbs and fit well within the cockpit.
The aircraft
is located at Smiths Falls Municipal Airport (CYSH) just South West
of Ottawa, Canada. Canadian purchasers will require a high
performance rating to fly this, and any other, Cozy as the wing
loading is above 13.3 lbs per square foot. see
Chapter 549 Subchapter B
I am happy to conduct a fresh annual inspection with any purchaser
to be sure they understand everything about this aircraft. I
am also happy to deliver pretty much anywhere in the US or Canada as
appropriate.
Price is
$75K Canadian Dollars ($55K USD), in particular
because of the auto engine.
The following is the
equipment list etc.
